It is our anniversary: 70 years celebration!

1 May 2016

Club Nàutic Costa Brava is in a year of celebration. During this month of May we will reach our 70th anniversary. In 1945 an idea was born and in spring 1946 it became a reality after being approved as a new member of the Federación Española de Clubes Náuticos. Our Club was born, the oldest Club in the Girona area.

Club Nàutic Costa Brava was a turning point for the important and historical Port of Palamós. Its origins were the no longer existing La Catifa beach, a few metres away from the location of the current Club premises. Between the fishing and the commercial port.

This is a historical Club with an intense past and a very promising present and future. This year, at the Member’s Evening (Nit del Soci), we will go over what we have been, what we are and what we wish to be.

The union of the people from Palamós and Barcelona made it go ahead and start a Nautical Club in a strategic location such as the bay of Palamós, in the heart of the Costa Brava.

Since its origins, the social life has been complemented with the Sports and Federation activity, therefore the hosting of major national and International events, which made it become the venue of Spanish Sailing Federation’s National Sailing School which brought the first Olympic medals in Sailing.

All those that are part of the Club Nàutic Costa Brava have a reason to celebrate.

Congratulations!
